Coalition of Better Ads (CBA) was founded by international trade associations in media market with the aim to analyse consumers’ behaviour and expectations.
The focus of Coalition is on improving online advertising, which includes all types types of digital and video ads, and also issuing the standards. Namely, Better Ads Standards are the result of this initiative. Coalition puts energy not only into implementation, but also inspection that publishers and their sites follow those standards.
The first set of standards was released in March 2017, which provided specific information on ads. The initial standards focused and included main desktop and mobile ad formats responsible for negative user experience. The Coalition consists of companies like Facebook, Microsoft, Google, Unilever, Procter & Gamble and trade associations such as Interactive Advertising Bureau, American Association of Advertising Agencies, and IAB Europe.
