Distinction is one of three main areas of Acceptable Ads Standards issued by Acceptable Ads Committee (AAC). According to the standard, ads should be always easily distinguishable and not confused as pages’ content. In addition, ads should always be clearly marked as “advertisement” or its equivalent.
The other two areas are Placement and Size.
